About Us
What is TelecomKit?
TelecomKit is a set of free calculators for the numbers that phone, broadband and network people trade in every day: how long a download really takes, how much data a household actually uses, what a subnet contains, what an uptime promise permits, and which data plan is genuinely cheaper at your usage.
Who it is for
Support agents explaining a slow download without hand-waving. Shop and call-centre teams comparing plans fairly. Network staff doing subnet maths in a hurry. And customers in the UK, the US and everywhere else who would like the industry's numbers explained in plain English — bits, bytes, gigabytes and all.
Our promise
Free, always. Every tool is free to use.
Shows its working. Each page states the formula and the assumptions (such as decimal gigabytes), so you can check the answer instead of trusting it.
Private by design. Everything runs in your browser; the numbers you enter never leave your device.
Honest labels. Where a figure is a typical estimate rather than an exact standard, the page says so.
What's next
More telecom tools are planned — from mobile coverage sanity checks to business line sizing. If there's a calculator you'd like to see, let us know.
